GSU Praat Tools 1.8 is a freeware scripting system designed to help users maximize their productivity when working with Boersma and Weenink's Praat freeware acoustics program.
These menu-driven scripts provide an interface for using Praat as automatically and efficiently as possible. The package includes utility, labeling, analysis, figure-making and synthesis functions, reads and saves sound files in batch mode, and creates spreadsheet-compatible data files in space-delimited text format
With Version 1.8, GSU Praat Tools has reached a form that I hope is both stable and well-rounded. I do not anticipate making further significant changes for a while, although de-bugging is a seemingly never-ending process. Changes made for de-bugging purposes alone will not trigger new version numbers, so check the "Updates" column to the right now and again. As aways, bug reports are greatly appreciated!
Tinkering will continue, focusing on simplifying and optimizing the code, as well as working toward a more modular form that allows easier customization by users.
